The Philippines was once an American Colony until its independence in 1946 from the US. It is enjoying its sovereignty and understand quite well its vulnerability to any foreign power incursions like China, as well as being under a colonial power.

Wally, are you referring to scientifically proven etiology of the origins of the genus homo sapiens? As far as the peer reviewed scientific literature is concerned, this has neither been proven nor disproven. Please cite a sine qua non evidence for us ordinary humans to know and understand.

Lest we forget, Myanmar (formerly Burma), always got support from the US --- courtesy of Gen. Stilwell, Merrill Marauders, The Flying Tigers and more! Shaking hand diplomacy with the military rulers of Myanmar is nothing but a gesture from Myanmar to get more aid.

The said strike was by NATO forces, not just US, and obviously had catastrophic effects to Pakistani Nationals due to inadequate or just plain poor communications. This is war and people get killed by friendly fire for any reason whatsoever.

By and large, it is going to be the same people who had been complaining of the inconveniences of full body scanners and pat downs who shall be complaining when the aircraft has been blown by an explosive device --- given the opportunity of being alive during the debacle's aftermath.
